I aspire to have most of my Sunshine fanart consist of Mapa being shippy in different rooms of Icarus2.

There's a fic that goes with this. It is as fluffy as the picture implies. Link to tumblr: [link]


Materials and such: ink+brush and brushpens, PaintShopPro. Most of the background elements (well, the ones that aren't vectors) are hand-drawn shapes made into layer masks in what is seriously my favorite thing ever in how to do digital art. The shading on the characters is also mostly a blotch of ink, painted on a light table with a copy of the lineart under it. (And it looks completely incomprehensible on paper anyway. ~Lumitytto can confirm that, she saw it.)
Fun fact: Capa's hands are referenced from a couple of screenshots of Cillian Murphy's hands. Characters he plays have a tendency to cradle the face of the person they're kissing.

wow... I have yet to watch this movie but this piece is amazing!! the atmosphere is so strong that it really feels like a still moment from a film. beautiful colors.
